Karagwe Development and Relief Services (KADERES) is a non government organization located in the north-west of Tanzania, in the central of Lake Victoria and the borders of Uganda and Rwanda.
We work at Kagera region in the districts of Karagwe and Kyerwa, serving the local community and supporting the rural development to improve the living conditions of the villagers. Since our establishment in 1997, we focus on sustainable projects according to the five manners of water, health, education, technical know-how, agriculture and livestock keeping. Kagera is one of the poorest regions in Tanzania, while most inhabitants are small scaled farmers. KADERES works for and with those people to empower the rural communities and to improve their living conditions.

Therefore, we created our own vision and mission in order to ensure our aims and make them more transparent for our partners.

Our Vision:
“KADERES wishes to see an empowered community of Karagwe and Kyerwa Districts in which people effectively manage their own lives.”

Our Mission:
“is to capacitate the Karagwe community to fight against poverty through facilitation of socio-economic programs in a sustainable way.”

Until today KADERES was able to support more than 23 000 community members by introducing a culture of self help, giving them hope for the future as well as to become self sufficient and independent.
